I have three FPR133 flow meters that I am trying to view in LabVIEW.
I have attached a document containing all the flow meter specs. But the range is 0.5 to 5.0 GPM (25Hz to 225Hz).
During programming, I was able to generate a signal on a frequency generator (simulating a flow meter) and was able to setup labVIEW to measure frequency. Everything seemed fine.
When I hooked up the actual flow meters the DAQ is not reading any signal? Currently the black wires from the flow meters are connected to the (-) of the 10V supply as well as the GND on the digital side of the DAQ. The Red wires are connected to (+) of the 10V supply. The white wires are going directly into P1.0, P1.1, P1.2.
I went back and tried the frequency generator again and it still works. It seems like the flow meters are sending a "dirty" signal?
Is DC Offset giving me issues? Do I need an AC coupling capacitor?
OR
I also noticed in the flow meter specs that it they suggest a 5-10 K pull-down resistor between black and white wires. Is this needed with the 6009 DAQ that I am using? I know it has a 4.7K pull-up resistor internally.
OR
Do I have an issue with all my grounds tied together (Analog, Digital, (-) 10V Supply, AC, Enclosure....)
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I can provide more information if needed. I will be working to resolve this issue all day. Thanks!
