I'm hoping someone can tell me a little bit more about how the NI 9403 Module's Overcurrent Protection works. I understand that there are limits on what an individual channel can source (2 mA), but my question is how is the current being provided by the the module being measured? Is it an instatneous measurement meaning that if any transient current (however short it may be) draws more than 2 mA that the device will enter it's high impedeance protection mode or is the protection circuit looking for an average output current over a particular time interval?
Thanks in advance for the help
