I am using labview 2014 with my Rio kit when I tried to run labview program with Myrio keep connected it shows me error 1430 or error 7 which indicates me that the possibility is that file was not found or write the absolute path. I have confirm that the file is present at the given location in the folder of my Project but still showing the same error when I take digital inputs of my rio in my program graphically. When I try to do same without taking my Rio digital inputs I substitute this by two switches which describes me whether it is the true condition or false condition and depending on that the other program is able to write into the spreadsheet but when I take digital input block of my Rio then it shows me the about a raise that that is the error 1430 or 7 that path or a file is not found.

Doubt about Digital I/O lines
Hello all,
In my project am going to use 10,000 No's LED I/O's in single 100 No's I/O NI - card.
Is it possible to use it?
Limit switch
Good day.
I want to use limit switches with SoftMotion. I have NI-9503 and NI-9421 modules. I added DIO Loop for reading limit switches and switch on Forward and Revers limits in axis settings, but it`s not work. What I do wrong?
6533 to 6356/7/8 Cable Adapter - PFI lines and digital input sample clock
I am updating some old code that was written for the NI PCI-6533 32-HS digital I/O card and think I now understand what is going on but was hoping someone could confirm I'm on the right track.
The old code sets the sample clock to external using the traditional NI-DAQ DIG_BLOCK_PG_CONFIG method and passing 1 as the reqSource parameter. The documentation I have says this uses the REQ pin on the I/O connector. In the 6536/7/8 cable adapter user guide, there is a diagram showing an example configuration of PFI line mapping that takes PFI2 from the 6533 side and jumps it somewhere on the 6536/7/8 side; the 6533 PFI is labeled REQ/PAUSE, so I take this to mean that corresponds to the REQ line on which the code was previously expecting the external clock.
Now, in NI-MAX, when I look at routes for the 6536, it appears that only 6536 PFI5 can be directly used as the digital input sample clock. Indeed, in Measurement Studio using NI-DAQmx 16.0, it appears that setting the sample clock source in my task's timing properties to PFI5 works but using any other PFI line causes an exception.
I am prepared to try, but have not yet tried, jumping 6533 PFI2 to 6536 PFI5 and attempting an acquisition using 6536 PFI5 as the digital input sample clock. Based on my understanding, this should work.
Questions:
1. Does the above line of reasoning sound correct?
2. I see in NI-MAX it looks possible to create a route from one 6536 PFI line to another. Is it possible to, for instance, create a route from 6536 PFI2 to 6536 PFI5, jump 6533 PFI2 to 6536 PFI2 and then use 6536 PFI5 as the digital input sample clock (would it get the signal from 6533 PFI2)?
2.a. If so, how is that done? If not, how should I interpret the route table in NI-MAX?
2.b. What happens if I have, for instance, 6533 PFI5 physically jumped to 6536 PFI5, but a logical route created from 6536 PFI2 to 6536 PFI5 as per 2.a., and there's some signal being put onto 6533 PFI5? Does reading 6536 PFI5 give me a combined reading of 6533 PFI5 and 6533 PFI2, or do I get one or the other (which one)?
Error -200077 external trigger
Hi,
I am very new to LabVIEW. I am trying to use an external trigger from a moving stage via NI USB-6281 to perform some measurements in my setup. I get the following error in DAQmx Timing v:
Error -200077 occurred at Property Node DAQmx Timing (arg 2) in DAQmx Timing (Sample Clock).vi
Possible reason(s):
Requested value is not a supported value for this property. The property value may be invalid because it conflicts with another property.
Property: SampQuant.SampMode
Requested Value: Hardware Timed Single Point
You Can Select: Finite Samples, Continuous Samples
The way I understand it, I need to select "Hardware Timed Single Point" as the sample mode since I need the external trigger to start my desired action every time.
Can someone please explain it to me what are the possible reasons to get this error in the first place and why doesn't it accept this sample mode?
tnx.
Graph Stops Updating with Continuous Sampling
Hi all!
So I have an NI-9215 and I am taking continuous samples at a very high rate (I need to) for 1-3 hours. I am updating all voltage values in a histogram in real time. For some reason, my histogram stops updating after 2 minutes. I think my buffer is messing up I tried setting it to -1 but its still doing the same thing.
If anyone has ideas it would be greatly appreciated!
PCI 6528 with interval zero RTX2016
Hi,
We are working with NI PCI 6528 with interval zero RTX2016 working on windows 7 , 32 bit.
Currently we are reading PCI 6528 frequently.
We are wondering if you can guide us or send a driver the implements an interrupt whenever there is a change in the discreet value.
Best Regards

USB-8451 SPI transmission distance.
What is the maximum distance that the SPI bus can transmit and receive data from a slave sensor? It must depend on a few things like the clock frequency and types of buffer. What buffer do you recommend at the slave end?
USB-6008
Hallo zusammen,
Vielen Dank!!
Digital input and output with "1 Sample (On Demand)" issue
Hello Dear NI-users,
I am developing a labview interface for controlling a brushless dc motor. The motor drive needs a
--"enable" signal for the initialization: a digital high/low output and
--"command signal" for the position: a analog output
Both signals should be generated in real time in labview, via the "1-Single on demand" option with the DAQ-Assistant, running in a while-loop.
The problem is, that labview treats the signals to/from the "DAQ-Assistant" as arrays, therefore I need to generate an array with just one element, see picture.
Is there a more elegant solution to this?
Windows does not detect USB-6509
First post to NI forums - a relative newbie to LabVIEW. I have the home / student version. I purchased a used USB-6509 to play with. I am using Windows 10 pro.
Problem: Windows is not detecting my device. The device passes the NI MAX self test - but not shown in Windows Device Manager comm ports, nor is the DAQ assistant available in LabVIEW for this device.
I have included three pictures: Windows Device Manager, NI MAX Explorer, and my PC configuration.
Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Control a USB-6525 using Python
Hi,
I am trying to control a USB-6525 using Python. I have downloaded and installed the latest version of NI-MAX. I also installed PyDAQmx. However, it seems that there is a dependency that is probably not installed since I have minimal NI Hardware / Software installed in my machine.
The error I get: " Location of niDAQmx library and include file unknown on win32 - if you find out, please let the PyDAQmx project know"
I serched and the error is generated because there niDAQmx.h file is not present. I found the following post: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/FB26BDA52FFFD4EE86257124005C36C3?OpenDocument
However, there I cannot find an installation to install this examples. Is there a location or an installation I can use to install those examples?
Synchronizing two counters on cDAQ-9172
I am trying to generate two pulses of specified lengths synchronized with each other. I am trying to start the second counter with respect to the first one but I don't succeed. What am I doing wrong?
In this implementation I gen an error: Lines 4 through 7 of this port are configured for output. Cannot configure these lines for input at this time.
Can I use another source for synchronizing the two counters? Which one should I use?

Sinking 12V through a Reed switch into a 9425
We have successfully had a system fielded for about a year now, and one of its several functions is to measure product flow through its channels. Given the application, chemical compatibility, cost, size and overall flexibility, I chose a Reed switch actuated flow meter and am sinking it into a 9425. I am using period-based calculations on the FPGA to derive a tick count and go from there, utilizing a known K-factor to calculate rate. The system is pretty accurate and has measured within manufacturer specified tolerance when compared to a Weights & Measures calibrated positive displacement flow meter that is far better.
Over time, especially recently, we have seen the flow meters get returned to us with tags describing two particular issues:
1.) Massive GPM rate (well beyond the range of the meter)
2.) No function
I recently tested a flow meter tagged "Broken, massive GPM" and replaced the side of the shell containing the Reed switch with a new one from the manufacturer. It worked correctly thereafter. My question is... am I protecting my Reed switch well enough?
I don't drive inductive loads. I don't heat lamps. The length of cable (containing 22AWG 2 conductor) is, at most, 20 feet each way to the meter. This obviously isn't an A/C circuit. The 9425 has an input impedance of 30kOhms +/- 5% and I additionally supply a 1kOhm in series for good measure. This is a 12V power supply with a common ground. The flow meter manufacturer is very poor on communication, but has more or less stated this is fine. I question their tech support.
I assume the 10V (ON state requirement) / 30kOhm input impedance = how the minimum input current is derived? (330uA)
See attached image (apologies for the quality.)
Thanks,
R
Simulating Digital Inputs (PCI-6527)
Hello,
I am currently working on a project involving reading digital input of a NI PCI-6527 card.
The computer containing this card is not plugged to anything yet, because we are awaiting material from our suppliers to do so, so I would like to know if it’s possible to make the computer "believe" that the card is receiving different signals on its input ports. I would like to know if it is possible to do so using only NI MAX or do I have to use LabView ?
I followed this tutorial (http://www.ni.com/tutorial/3698/en/) but it doesn’t seem to allow doing what I want as I can only read inputs and write on outputs of a virtual device.

Dave

Thank you in advance.
TCA9555 Analog I/O
I understand that the TCA955 is an I/O extender that communicates via a I2C bus. What I can't figure out is whether this chip will take analog inputs as well as digital inputs. I'm trying to add more analog pins to a micro controller, so if this won't work, can you recommend something that will.
