Hello everyone! I'm using LabView drivers to control a Harvard Apparatus 70-3007 pump, and running into some issues. (I'm controlling via USB).

So I downloaded and installed the drivers, and ensured that I have ALL of the necessary software (USB virtual COM and VISA) installed. I then used teraterm (serial port communication software) to ensure that my computer could communicate with the pump. It could.

 

I then moved into labview, to ensure that my computer could control the pump. It could not. As soon as I try any of the VIs attached with the drivers I get an error. The very first step in each VI is to call an Initialize.VI that does an "Instrumentation Identification" step, that always throws an error. It tells me that either I have set the COM port incorrectly (I assure you, I have not) or that the instrument drivers are not up to date. Hm.

 

Any ideas? I know obviously probably no one here has used this series of pumps before, so if there's any additional information/VIs I can attach, please let me know.

I am using a NI 9401 in a cDAQ 9172 chassis and want to output a hardware timed pulse pattern. My understanding is that I must use the internal counter of the cDAQ 9172 as sample clock for the digtial output. But I don't know, which channel I have to use.

Hi,

 

Anyone is familiar with HSDIO streaming? I really need help please.

I've been searching and found this example. https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-29085

I can use this example to stream my TDMS waveforms which has much samples than buffer size of my HSDIO PXIe-6544.

 

The snippet in the link is totally wrong. But the code inside attached file is usefull for streaming. But the thing is, I can only stream my waveform one time only. How can I stream my waveform repeatedly? I've tried to change the option from single generation into loop continuously, but seems doesnt work. Maybe it needs a little bit manual work?

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,

 

ich habe zwei defekte PXI-6533 Karten mit folgenden Fehlern:

 

SN: 16D268A

Fehler:

- Karte wird von PXI-1042Q und MAX 5.4.0f0 erkannt.

- im MAX wir bei Selbststest der Fehlercode -200020 ausgegeben.

- beim Zurücksetzen der Karte im MAX wir der Fehlercode -50150 ausgegeben.

- Beim Aufruf des Testpanels  im MAX stürzt der PC mit Bluescreen Meldung ab!

 

SN A68BB9

Fehler:

- Karte wird von PXI-1042Q und MAX 5.4.0f0 erkannt.

- im MAX wir bei Selbststest der Fehlercode -200020 ausgegeben.

- Zurücksetzen der Karte im MAX i.O.

- Alle Ports reagieren nicht mehr, weder wenn diese als Input oder als Output konfiguriert sind.

 

Ich benötige zum Einsenden hierfür eine RAM-Nummer, bzw. können sie schon im voraus beurteilen, ob diese Karten überhaupt noch repariert werden können bzw. was eine Reparatur kosten wird?

Hello, The DAQMX drivers has an option to trigger AI channels when I start trigger on the AO channel. I have been using the above approach to syncronize the AI and AO data that I source out and capture.

 

I tried the same configuration on the DI's but they don't work.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the above screenshot, I configure the DI to start when the DO/Start trigger is executed. But it doesnot behave so. I could see samples captured immediately after the start task is executed. The same approach have worked for me with Analog lines. Just wondering what is going wrong with digital.

 

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

 

I am using a 6581 Adapter module with 7965R FlexRIO FPGA module. The IO Module channel/Port CLIP allows for setting an entire port as either an input or an output, however I would like to set one channel line of a port as an output and the remaining seven channel lines as inputs, is it possible to do this ?

Dear All,

I would like to make 8-to-16 bit modulation (as like DVD do known as EFMPLus encoding) using Labview. 

What I want to do is: Firstly I can convert any image file into decimal format/binary file. Than decimal / binary format file save to the spreadsheet file. I want to apply 8-to-16 bit modulation techniques on the spreadsheet file.

Please advice me if there any way to make 8-to-16 bit modulation in Labview.

Hi,

I would like to generate digital pulses at 5khz oe less rate, any hardware recommendation? preferable usb and budget type.

I do have usb 6501, i try work on it, maximum output is 1khz the best. Is it possible to further up ?

I have a NI 9375 module in a cDAQ-9174 connected to a Windows 8 PC running LabView 2012 with service Pack 1.

 

No matter what I do, I cannot get the digital outputs of the NI 9375 to update faster than 48 per second.

 

I need to generate a 40 Hz square wave.

 

Am I missing some configuration settings?  What can I do to double the update rate?

The title says it all I suppose.  I am driving 32 loads at under 1A each on each of the 32 outputs of the 9477.  Not all the loads are on at one time, and each pulse is only about 50ms long.  It might happen (but improbable) that all 32 outputs need to turn on simultaneously, thus pushing the current well above the rated 20A, but only for a very short time.  

 

Is this ok?  I accept the answers 'yes' or 'yes, but....'

Hi,

I am using PCI6534 to read the digital data from out of ADC. I am using port 2 as the input port and PFI3 as the external trigger ( given to the clock of the ADC). I am not able read the data properly ( missing the first few bits of data).

Hi,

 

is it possible to stream with HSDIO generating data and acquiring data simultaneously? I could barely stream continuously my generation data, and when I try to acquire data at the same time, I got errors. The error is either in generation session or acquisition session. I split the generation and acquisition in 2 different loops in main program.

i want to generate a digital pulse every rising edge of my counters pulse. it should have a variable duty cycle. till now i have been able to generate digital output but i cant change its duty cycle.

 

pls tell the ways in which i should proceed??

Sir,

  I am using PCI 7813 card in the Industrial PC. During testing of the card ,some of the digital output lines of the card when high logic is passed it is giving 1.4v instead of 2.4 V to 3.3 V. 

How to rectify this problem.

I want to develop pulse manager with 9075 cRIO and 9402.

I synchronize 4 DO which I have some logics between them. What is the resolution 

i might acheive between 2 pulses - one rising and the other falling?

And what is the 10nsec response time of the 9402 means (and what's the connection to te 40MHz clock of the FPGA?)

 

Summary - Can anyone please arrange my mind about timing in cRIO...

Hello,

 

I have Labview 2011 and currently working on a simple temperature measurement system, using the ni cDAQ 9178, the ni 9211 and the ni 9481. If the measured temperature value passes a certain set point a LED must blink and at the same time an output of the 9481 should also "blink" (go on and off), activating an alarm sound with a certain frequency.

 

Can anyone help me with the programming of the 9481 output?

I am trying to use the NI-HSDIO as an IVI driver, but I cannot find the .fp file. The readme file says that the file is located in:

 

<IVIROOTDIR32>\Drivers\niHSDIO\niHSDIO.fp

 

but it is not there.

 

Does anyone know where I can find this file?
