How do I change the PXIe-8240 from 40G rate to 10G rate?
I am using a PXIe-8240 in a PXIe-1094 chassis using WINDOWS.
Using LabVIEW, I can send UDP packets from one port (Eth0) to the other port (Eth1) through a direct connect OM3 fiber cable and the LINK SPEED LED on the front panel is GREEN indicating the speed is 40G. The WINDOWS ethernet controller settings for ports Eth0 and Eth1 also indicates it is running at 40G.
Note: The PXe-8240 literature indicates the LINK SPEED LED is the following (green = 40 Gbps; yellow = 10 Gbps)
How do I change the rate on the PXIe-8240 from 40G to 10G?
My problem is when I connect the PXIe-8240 to my UUT, there is no link light. The literature indicates the rate should auto-negotiate, but it does not. The WINDOWS ethernet controller settings indicates the PXIe-8240 is at 40G and the Link LED never turns on.
My UUT is QSFP+ running at 10G.
When I connect the OM3 fiber cable directly from the PXIe-8240 port (either the ETH0 or ETH1) to the UUT, I do not get a link light.
The WINDOWS ethernet configurations settings indicate the PXIe-8240 is set at 40G Full Duplex, not at 10G full duplex.
The WINDOWS ethernet configurations setting for the rate is grayed out, so I cannot change to speed to 10G Full Duplex. It stays at 40G.
How do I change the PXIe-8240 rate to 10G if the WINDOWS ethernet configurations setting is grayed out and not selectable?
Thank you.
